What does a banana, an even dollar amount and a dark chocolate with hazelnuts candy bar have in common?
It’s all part of what happened to me when I checked out at Trader Joe’s today. Our local store is playing a fun game they call “We’ve Gone Bananas!” If your total order rings up to an even [...]

This has been a busy week…hence no posts for a couple of days. However, tonight at about 12:30 PM, I picked up the TV Guide just to get my mind away from other thoughts threatening to keep me awake(!) and I stumbled upon a link to this video. Since it’s likely there will be no [...]

My husband Darrell and his sister Paula (visiting from California) took us on a trip down memory lane to places they lived and played when they were elementary children. It was a serendipitous day; perfect weather, fun with family and a few surprises!
Oops, Lydia, did you want to go too?? j/k!

Today we held a Thanksgiving “Turkey Gobble” in our ministry apartment. Our final count was 61 kids and about 15 volunteers in a two bedroom apartment. And we only own 45 chairs…you can imagine what eating a Thanksgiving meal in that crowd was like! Anyway, we had a great day. Besides many of our regular [...]
Amazing Race Season 12- episode 2

Well, this week I got caught by “The Amazing Race”-comes-on-after-”60 Minutes” crazy scheduling thing CBS does. In other words, the show starts at an off-time due to sports programs before “60 Minutes” running overtime which causes the rest of the evening schedule to be off in time as well. In order to watch the full [...]

We had so much fun at Camp Primo this summer, that when we got two free tickets to Dollywood, Darrell and I decided we needed to have a fall retreat with Nora and Lydia. So, all four of us packed into the car and took a two day trip to Sevierville, TN. We stayed at a really [...]

This is my 100th post in this blog! They say a blogger should make their 100th post special…it is a milestone after all.
However, I’m a little “blank” tonight. Or actually, my mind is a little full- lots of details swirling around about a lot of stuff.
I think I’ll have to make Post 101 or 102 [...]
The Amazing Race, season 12, episode 1
Posted in TV, The Amazing Race 12 on November 5, 2007 | 4 Comments »
One of my top favorite shows is The Amazing Race. It started its new season…a little ahead of schedule, too…last night. The only unfortunate thing about watching The Amazing Race, is I should actually be running it with one of my two potential partners, Amanda or Staci. We’ll see.
In the meantime, here is a clip from the [...]
