Every Friday afternoon/evening, we evangelize and disciple kids in kindergarten through 4th grade (Kids Club) or middle/high schoolers (Mealtime.) The vast majority of the kids are Mexican immigrants. For the last several weeks, we’ve been looking at Jonah and his choices to obey and/or disobey God.
At Mealtime this past Friday, as I introduced our topic, one 6th grade boy raised his hand and asked if Jonah was a king. “No he wasn’t,” I responded.
At the conclusion of the Bible Study, same boy raised his hand and said, “That story sounded just like Pinocchio and his dad!”
Like I said, It’s why we do what we do!!
